The approved school calendar for the current session has been published and is available on the downloads page of this website.
It sets out the opening and closing dates for each term, mid-term breaks, and the weeks reserved for continuous assessment and terminal examinations. Zonal education officers are to ensure that every school in their zone displays the calendar and observes the dates.
Any school proposing to depart from the calendar must apply in writing to the Permanent Secretary through its zonal education office, stating the reason and the proposed alternative dates.
